Biography
Born and raised in Germany with Serbian roots, Shue Cane is a mixed media and oil artist whose creativity knows no bounds. She has a multifaceted background that includes ventures in music – ten years in the field with her own record label, and fashion industry with her own fashion label and more than 20 years of experience in visual design. Shue has cultivated a diverse creative palette, dipping her toes into all areas of creativity, expanding her skillset, but it is in painting where she feels most alive and authentic.
While working and creating other forms of art in all those years, she learned not only new skills, most importantly she discovered so much about herself. Creation is the most individual thing, and it feels different to each and everyone. For Shue, it meant to find out that she actually loves to let go of control and feel her most free self when painting her dynamic vibrant portraits. Viewers are invited to witness the liberation and the 180° twist that only Fine Arts can disclose.
Shue’s bold and dynamic paintings are an invitation to the viewer to experience the magical power of self revelation and their true self. With each mark and brushstroke, Shue cares to let herself be guided by the energy and her intuition of the moment, allowing the beauty to be born out of chaos.
Having spent time living and working in Germany, Spain, and Serbia, she is now based near Milan, Italy, enjoying the freedom of creating from her studio as she starts this new chapter.

Although Shue has lived in Spain for almost ten years she is currently residing in South Germany, near Stuttgart and is enjoying the freedom of creating out of her home studio, which allows for a lot of flexibility to work on her projects.
Artist Statement
“For Me, nothing equals the feeling of absolute freedom when I am painting.
Each brushstroke becomes a dance of liberation, a symphony of freedom.
My process allows me to dive into the painting, to fully surrender, let go, be out of control, and let energy just flow through my body into my hand and the brush.
The first stages of my art process are intuitive, almost hypnotic and playful, while the final stages are more vulnerable and transformative.
There is so much magic and joy in exploring all kinds of materials, allowing beauty to be born from chaos and then carve a unique and expressive portrait out of it.
Art serves as a voyage of self-discovery, a transformative odyssey that beckons not only the artist but also the viewer.
My aim is to unveil an apocalypse for the viewer within each brushstroke. With every gaze upon the canvas, a profound revelation of one’s inner truth is meant to unfold. Portraits are supposed to emerge specks of soul discovering and empowering details.”
